The Turboshear Model TSHD1 inserts into the chuck of a minimum 14.4 Volt cordless or maximum 7 Amp A/C electric drill. A telescoping drill clamp adjusts to fit length and width of any drill housing for easy one-hand operation. The compact, molded clamp even fits smaller bodied impact drivers and air drills. Optional spacers are stored on clamp for large motor housings. A clamp collar allows the shear head to be rotated 360° and set in any position for optimum tool clearance when navigating profiles or to facilitate easy material flow. Heavy-duty gearing combines with high carbon steel blades to cut up to 18-ga (1.22 mm) automotive steel. Minimal force is required to move through a cut. The TurboShear Model TSHD1 can follow a straight line or tight left curved or square patterns. A wide jaw opening navigates cuts in autobody panels and profiles including layered metal, rocker panels and plastic bumpers. The sleek, lightweight, aluminum cast shear head and form-fitting drill clamp ensure balanced, easy control. Lateral blade adjustment capability ensures that optimum cutting performance and maneuverability can be maintained for the life of the blades. Service life of the blades is rated at 2500-ft (762 mm) minimum in 24-ga (0.61 mm) mild steel. The long-wearing blades are replaceable and easily installed on the job.

What materials will the turbo shear cut?
TSHD1 - cuts 18-gauge (1.32 mm) galvanized steel (auto body panels), 20-gauge (.82 mm) non hardened carbon steel and stainless steel, 14-gauge (1.54 mm) aluminum, and .100 inch (2.55 mm).
How clean is the cut?
TSHD1 - The Turboshear metal cutting series will make clean cuts throughout the range of thicknesses of material listed above. The tool will need to be adjusted when going from very thin to thick material and vice versa.
How do you adjust the tool to get the optimum cut?
TSHD1 - The clearance between the cutting jaws is adjustable in order to achieve the optimum cut for thick or thin material. To adjust, locate the 3/16” set screw on the back of the tool, towards the front of the tool near the jaws. Turn it clockwise to tighten the gap of the jaws for thinner material or counterclockwise to make the gap of the jaws larger for thicker material.
